My UX/UI Design Process: From Wireframe to Stunning User Interfaces
Jun 27, 2025
Hello! I’m Ferdausur Rahman, a passionate UX/UI Designer from Bangladesh, and I’ve had the pleasure of working on websites, mobile apps, and eCommerce platforms for clients worldwide.
In this blog, I want to take you behind the scenes of how I approach every design project—from the first conversation to delivering a polished, high-converting user interface.
If you’re planning to design your website, mobile app, or eCommerce store, this will help you understand the process that ensures every pixel serves a purpose.
1️⃣ Understanding the Client's Needs
Before jumping into Figma or Framer, I spend time understanding:
✔️ Who is the target audience?
✔️ What problem does the product solve?
✔️ What are the business goals?
For example, when I worked on a jewelry eCommerce project, the client wanted a minimal, luxurious feel that appeals to both local and global audiences. That early clarity saved time and ensured the final design matched expectations.
2️⃣ Research & Inspiration
Next, I conduct research to:
🔍 Explore competitor websites
🎨 Collect inspiration from platforms like Dribbble, Behance, or Framer Examples
📋 Create mood boards with color schemes, typography, and layouts
For my recent clothing store design, I focused on clean product presentation, mobile responsiveness, and easy navigation based on competitor analysis.
3️⃣ Wireframing the Experience
Once I have a clear direction, I build low-fidelity wireframes using Figma. Wireframes define:
🖥️ Layout structure
📱 Content hierarchy
🗺️ User flow
Wireframes are essential because they allow clients to visualize the project structure without being distracted by colors or images.
4️⃣ Crafting the Visual Design
After wireframes are approved, I dive into the UI design:
🎨 Color palettes aligned with brand identity
🔤 Typography for readability
📷 Imagery and icons for visual appeal
For example, my minimal jewelry website project used soft tones, elegant fonts, and spacious layouts to enhance the feeling of luxury without overwhelming users.
5️⃣ Prototyping & Feedback
Using tools like Framer or Figma Prototypes, I create interactive mockups so clients can:
✅ Click through the interface
✅ Experience transitions
✅ Suggest changes
This step ensures everything works smoothly before development.
6️⃣ Final Handoff & Support
Once the design is finalized, I deliver:
📁 Figma source files
📐 Design assets (icons, images)
🛠️ Optional development collaboration if needed
My goal is always to make the process smooth for both clients and developers.
💡 Why Process-Driven Design Matters
Design isn’t just about making things look good—it’s about solving problems, improving user experience, and achieving business goals. My structured approach ensures:
✔️ Faster project turnaround
✔️ Clear communication
✔️ A user-friendly, visually appealing final product
